Usage no data available for AOS8 controllers

I added some new 7205 controllers running AOS8 into Airwave but the reporting is not working correctly. When I go to the deivce monitor, I see everything listed correctly in the Device Info section, but the graph has no data available. I have a daily device summary report that is generated and that, too is showing 0 in both Total Data and Avg Usage.

The APs are reporting without issue and as I said, device info for both controllers (L2 clustered) are reporting the data fine, but the usage graph shows nothing.

The devices are in monitor-only mode.

The group has audit configuration on devices set to yes.

Any ideas? TAC has not been all that helpful with this issue.

    What version of ArubaOS?

Do you have screenshots of the Airwave graphs?

Do you see users and access points in Airwave?

Audit has nothing to do with it, honestly.

    What is your TAC ticket#?

    - The controllers are running 8.2.2.3_68075

    - I do see the APs and clients

My TAC case is #5335781027 and I have a follow up call with the engineer scheduled.

Please let us know how the follow-up call goes.

The TAC engineer wanted root access to the CLI but I don't currently have it so we weren't really able to progress much further. I'm convinced they're headed in the right direction, but I will give em the benefit of the doubt for now.

    Couple of things,

    • Make sure AMON is enabled on all the MD if its a cluster
    • Make sure the AMON data is reaching Airwave. You can check the AMON graph in the performance page
    • Also, prefer amon is set to yes under Amp setup  page
    • You can also check the RabbitMq graph under performance page and make sure ALC or any other queue is not big in size

So I was experiencing the same issue. TAC gave me a command to apply to the managed devices which appears to have resolved the issue..

    (ArubaMM) [mynode] # cd /md/MY-GROUP
    (EGV-ArubaMM) [MY-GROUP] # config t
    (EGV-ArubaMM) [MY-GROUP] (config) # controller-amon bssid-tunnel-stats
    (EGV-ArubaMM) [MY-GROUP] (config) # exit
    (EGV-ArubaMM) [MY-GROUP] # write mem

So I should have reported, TAC got back to me with this solution as well. Although it did get me some reporting it did not fix the issue entirely. I use two legs from from my controllers. One leg for the APs to tunnel to and the other is a L2 trunk to my DMZ switch and then to the firewall where the use gateways reside.

I am getting reporting from data in, but not data out. Data out is staying at 0. I need both and honestly data out is way more important for us.

    Still waiting on a solution.
