Where is the Airwave 8.0 upgrade guide?

    Hi Everyone,

    I'm new to Aurba products and Airwave and consistently struggling with the Aruba documentation.  Can someone tell me where I find the upgrade guide for AMP 8.0?  What are the best practices/recommendations?  For example, I have 7.7.11 on VMware server.  Is it best to setup a new 8.0 virtual server via the OVA and import the database and if yes, what is the restore process?  What about licensing?

     

    If all this is covered someplace, sorry to ask as I can't find it.

    You can literally just upgrade. SSH to the Airwave server and run start_amp_upgrade and then enter 8.0.0 for the version.

    start_amp_upgrade -v 8.0.8.1

    (-v for version) (type start_amp_upgrade by itself to see the options)

     

    To do a simple upgrade, use that and make sure you have your login credentials for the support site, the promt will ask for them. Optionally, there are some switches to put those in ahead of time, but it's not needed if you are doing this by hand.
