    Hi All,

    Need some guidance here.

    1. Can instant cluster be integrated (or controlled) by a centralized physical controller)
    2. If it can be integrated then will all the configuartion be done on Controller ? or instant cluster will still work as independent.

    Not possible

So in case of multiple branches, RAP should be the solution ?

But how to deal with multiple Access points in a branch solution ? will they all form the cluster ? or something else ?

As long as the RAPs are able to reach the controller through UDP/4500 then you can apply all your changes from a centralized location

If all the RAPs are going to have the same config then you add those to same AP-Group for Remote APs.

You can also automate the deployment using Activate which can automatically convert the IAP to RAP and places the RAP in the right AP-Group, you just need to know the mac address to apply the config in Activate and also added to the controller whitelist

To expand on Victor's response:   No this is not possible.   IAPs can be controlled through the virtual controller, AirWave, or Aruba  Central.

The only integrations are through the IAP-VPN technology/solution.   Please review IAP-VPN section of the Instant User Guide.

    Hi,

One of the customer is looking to convert 200 of their branches to all wireless solution.

In that case, what shall be the best solution ?

    * IAP cluster in every branch, every branch is connected to Main HO via data links. All IAP clusters are managed via on premise Airwave server right ?

So do you guys think it's a good solution ?

    Best Regards

(Knowing nearly nothing about all of the mitigating details...)

I'd certainly consider an iAP cluster per location and Airwave at the HO to manage them.

Add ClearPass if you want to do any interesting authentication etc.

(I'm actually doing just that with 107 sites so far)
