Re: RAP initial setup questions

Colin,

I've been poking around in the firewall settings. Are there any firewall settings that are set by default?

Here's what is in my config:

#show running-config | include firew
Building Configuration...
firewall attack-rate ping 4
firewall attack-rate tcp-syn 32
firewall attack-rate cp 100
firewall deny-inter-user-bridging
firewall deny-inter-user-traffic
firewall cp
firewall cp
logging level errors security subcat firewall

I remember setting the deny-inter-user-* statements, but the other ones may have been accidentally added over time.

Also, is there a way to show all clients that may be trapped in the "stm" blacklist?

Thanks for your help!

Re: RAP initial setup questions

Hi Colin,

Is this command available on 5.0.3.0? Here's my output:

(GL-Master) #show stm blacklist-clients
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

(GL-Master) #show st?
startup-config Show saved configuration
station-table Show internal station table
storage Display the switch storage information

Let me know what I'm doing wrong - thanks!

Re: RAP initial setup questions

That would be "show ap blacklist-clients".

Sorry.

Similar issue with RAP -2WG

I have a similar issue with a RAP I have been fighting for weeks it seems like. I have managed to get it to register to the controller, however this is where it gets different. The RAP appears to download new firmware and then reboots. I see it on the controller for a couple of minutes as up. I am unable to provision it and the output from the controller is as follows;
00:0b:86:c3:6e:7a usrdc-master RAP-2WG 192.***.***.17 Down R-c 172.***.***.23
:( This is where it seems to hang. The laptop attached to it never gets an IP address and I basically start over.

Check to make sure that in your AP System Profile in that AP-Group, there is NO LMS- ip address. If there is a private address, your RAP at home be redirected to that address after it contacts the controller and go into LA LA land...
