RAP udp4500 blocked, backup?

I always thought the RAP would only try to connect over udp port 4500. If that failed, the RAP would not be able to set up its connection.

Now my colleague here apparently heard from an Aruba rep that it had a backup mode for when ipsec failed. Is there any truth to that?

I know the VIA client has an SSL fallback. Does the RAP have the same?

No truth. RAPs connect using NAT-T (udp 4500) only.
