Digital Certificate?

I have been using VeriSign® Wireless LAN Server Certificates for 4-5 years. We use WPA with TKIP and EAP-MSCHAP v2. If I stick with WPA can I use a standard SSL Certificate from another vendor such as Comodo that costs less? If I move to WPA2 do I eliminate the need for a Certificate?

Thanks

Still need a cert

WPA or WPA2, if you are using PEAP, it STILL requires a certificate, as per the standard. To keep from having to load the root cert from an unknown authority on all your clients, you should purchase a certificate from a CA that is already on all your clients. That is why alot of people use Verisign, but there are quite a few other certificate authorities that are on most client laptops already, so you should investigate those, also.
