    Hi

I recently went to a Starbucks cafe and saw a way of self-registering into their wireless network that I found quite interesting. They had a self registration portal where you entered your email then you had 10 minutes to access your email and activate your account. Do you think that could be done with amigopod/clearpass Guest?

    Regards

I'm afraid you can't do exactly the same.

Once the client is connected to the network it's in the pre-logon role. If you want to allow e-mail activation you need to allow it in the policies of this role, however, you can't set a time frame for this as far as I know (you can use time range in policies but it doesn't fit this need).

A similiar approach could be to use self-registration portal and sending an SMS to the user with username and password.
