We have a CPPM 6.1.4 cluster made up of 3 CP-VA-5Ks and I have a few questions regarding updating said cluster.

    •  I'm seeing a direct upgrade path of 6.5.0.71095 being available in Software Updates. Has anyone run into issues making that big of a version jump or should I look at going to 6.3.2 and then to 6.5.0?
    • Since this is the first time I've ever been tasked with this, while the Publisher node is being updated, will the 2 subscriber nodes still function and authenticate clients? If I'm going to have wireless client downtime I need to plan for an after hours upgrade.

Thank you all in advance for any insight you can provide!

Going from 6.1 to 6.5 is a big change I suggest you open a Tac case so TAC can assist you with the upgrade .

The upgrade could take up to 2-3 hours

From the 6.5.0 release notes -

For 6.1.x,direct upgrades are not supported.Customers on 6.1.x must intermediately upgrade to 6.2.6, 6.3.6, or 6.4.x first before upgrading to 6.5.
