    Hello All,

    We have about 6 clearpass servers globablly that play a vital role in our NAC solutions.

    We'd like to add them to solarwinds, a tool I am sure many are you familiar with.

    Recently, I have succesfully added the 6 servers to solarwinds, however Orion is only monitoring it's interfaces. There is no CPU/Disk space or any other info. All our servers are virtual appliances hosted on an ESXi host.

    Could this be the reason? I feel as if I may have to import an MIB of some sort. Is there some sort of SNMP feature set I must enable?

    All other virtual servers we have push out the info listed above.

    Thanks for all help in advanced :smileyvery-happy:

    CPPM supports the standard host MIB file, it should provide up/down, disk, CPU, memory, and some other alerts.   CPPM does not have its own MIB (yet).

    Do you feel you are missing alerts?

    You should get alerts for the following:

    1. Disk space (30% by default)
    2. CPU load thresholds
    3. CPPM processes stop
    4. Management or Data interface up/down

    You can change some thresholds to test:

    Administration --> Server Manager --> Server Configuration --> Click on your server --> Service Parameters tab --> System Monitor Service --> Set CPU and Free Disk space thresholds

    The Clearpass user guide has a description off all the OIDs and traps supported. Here are the ones you specifically called out:

    CPU Load Average Traps

    OIDs

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.100.1 ==> Error flag on the CPU load-1 average. Value of 1 indicates the load-1 has crossed its threshold and 0 indicates otherwise.

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.2.1 ==> Name of CPU load-1 average

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.100.2 ==> Error flag on the CPU load-5 average. Value of 1 indicates the load-5 has crossed its threshold and 0 indicates otherwise.

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.2.2 ==> Name of CPU load-5 average

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.100.3 ==> Error flag on the CPU load-15 average. Value of 1 indicates the load-15 has crossed its threshold and 0 indicates otherwise.

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.10.1.2.3 ==> Name of CPU load-15 average.

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9.1.100.1 ==> Error flag indicating the disk or partition is under the minimum required space configured for it. Value of 1 indicates the system has reached the threshold and 0 indicates otherwise.

    .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.9.1.2.1 ==> Name of the partition which has met the above condition.
