    Are there any current options to pull ClearPass backups?

     

    There was an RPM a few years ago, is this still current, or are there better options to pull via the API or SCP / SFTP?

     

    We are having issues pushing backups to our SFTP server as it appears ClearPass is trying to use SSH exec which our server rejects and closes the channel.

    Thanks, we have configured this but as above we have been having issues with ClearPass trying to use SSH exec.

     

    Is there a way to configure a pull from ClearPass instead of the documented push scenario?

    There ist an Option to pull the manual or automatic Backup files from ClearPass

    Administration » Server Manager » Local Shared Folders

     

    By clicking on the row you are able to download and save the file.

    One other option is to use the old data puller: https://afp.arubanetworks.com/afp/index.php/CPPM_External_Data_Puller

    Sorry to hear your having issues with SFTP, we do optionally support SCP and we added support for NFSv3 and NFSv4.

     

    We dropped support for the data-puller and as of now the only option is a PUSH.
