I have experienced that a remote CP-HW-500 hasn't powered up by itself after a power outage. Support claims it by default should power up again after power has been restored  However, it has happened twice now.

Is there a way to check/modify this setting without having to go onsite?

Is this going to be a Virual Box like a VM installed clearpass server if yes? how the device is getting power ? This could be the issue with the server locally. May we know the specfications of the hardware/software installation?

    Thank you,

    Sriram

    Hi Shiram,

This is an Aruba CP-HW-500 appliance. Not a VM.

OK got it. Would this be a power cord connectivity issue as i dont see the reason for the hardware not booting up post power outage however in other scenarios it working fine.

I doubt it. It always happens when the rest of the data center loses power. It is only the CPPM that stays down until I go on-site and press "on"

So if the CP-HW-500 does not auto-power-on after a power outage it is an RMA candidate?
