ClearPass Eval for CPPM 6.8

    Good Morning,

    does the ClearPass Eval-Keys I as a Partner can generate in ASP works as well for a new installation with 6.8.

    Or do we have to install first 6.7.9 and than upgrade to 6.8?

    Example for EVAL-KEY

    Part Number : JZ399AAE
    Part Description : Aruba ClearPass Cx000V VM Appl E-LTU

    Are you not seeing software version 6.8 in drop down list while genertating Eval license?

     

    If you are not seeing then try reach customer support to check for details.

    License keys in 6.8 are a slightly different format. There should be an option for 6.8 when generating an eval.

    I also see that the dropdown box only has 6.7.x.x in the LMS tool.

    Do we have to contact TAC for an EVAL KEY?

    Yes, if you want 6.8 Eval key then contact TAC and also check why you are not seeing 6.8 in your drop down.

    the dropdown to select version to generate eval keys only shows 6.7.x; no 6.8.x option yet.

     

    TAC generated new "Enhanced" codes for me pretty quickly.

    The option to generate eval licenses for Clearpass 6.8 is now available in LMS.

     

    Licensing team fixed it, option 6.8 added.

    What the format of key ? because i have a

     

     

    Aruba ClearPass Cx000V VM Appl E-LTU
Product Activation Key :
     -----BEGIN CLEARPASS PLATFORM LICENSE KEY-----
     H4sIAAAAAAA.....
-----END CLEARPASS PLATFORM LICENSE KEY-----

    But don't work

    Dear Experts,

     

    I noticed the Eval License Key for 6.8 in new format (somewhat similar to x509 certificate format) contains a lot of whitespaces. Perhaps this is why copy and paste the license key from email to ClearPass didn't work.

    I managed to get around this by manualy deleting the whitespaces and adding proper line break in notepad.

     

    Hope this will get fixed soon.

    Get the same issue with mail with licence.. (there is some extra space...)
