ClearPass VIP only points to subscriber

    The vip only points to subsriber. Anything sugestions?

    VIP only sends traffic to the primary unless it's down. Likely your subscriber is set to primary

    You could try rebooting the subscriber and see if the primary becomes the publisher (the VIP appoints to the publisher). It’s always good to test these things. The publisher is not necessarily by default the primary holder of the VIP, it depends on your configuration.

    The VIP did not appoint to the publisher after rebooting the subscriber.

    The publisher is the primary node of VIP in configuration.

    It will preempt to the initial VIP master after reboot.

     

    What are you trying to achieve? if you would like to load balance you can add a 2nd VIP adress and make the subscriper VIP master and publisher the back-up.

    From your NAD devices you can configure either the 1st or 2nd VIP adress.
