ClearPass and Airwatch endpoints enrollment delay

    We are a K12 environment that uses Airwatch as the MDM server for non-window devices.  We are finding that there is a hour to a day delay after enrolling a device into airwatch.  After some time the device will attach to the production network.  We are expecting that once you enroll the device into airwatch that the device will connect at once.  Anybody experencing this behavior?  If so did you solve this or improve this?

    ClearPass by default checks the MDM every hour.

     

    You can either manually trigger updates or change the polling interval.

    We had it at 15min at one point.  Now we are at 30min.  Can we go to 1min without causing a problem?

    I would not go any lower than 15 minutes.



    Every time it polls, it pulls in all of your devices. That is a lot of load.

    How many devices do you have registered in Airwatch?
