ClearPass and TACACS+

    Hello all,

     

    Please can someone clarify how TACACS+ is licensed in ClearPass. 

    I have read two different definitions: -

    TACACS and ClearPass Licensing considerations
    License counts towards TACACS+ authentications are directly translated to unique network administrator logins managing those devices. If you have a single administrator managing 100 devices then it is counted as 1 license. 10 different administrators managing the same number of devices are counted as 10 licenses.

     

    And 

     

    On a Policy Manager system with a valid Access license, TACACS+ sessions are not counted towards Access license consumption.

    Once you add 100 Access licenses , TACACs access won’t count against your overall license
