    Hi all,

we have a problem with Clearpass (version 6.8.0.109592). It did not recognize the fingerprints of the devices on wired enviroment. Enforcement profile change the vlan ID when device is an access point; so we intercept mac-address vendor and type of device from endpoint repository.

The error is on the title of the topic. And also, we cannot change fingerprint by manual intervent. We have an error like the image attached.

Someone hava an idea about this?

I am also running 6.8.0 and no issue profiling devices or updating the device fingerprint

How are you profiling devices ?
If the devices hasn’t been profiled you wont be able to update the profile/fingerprint information

     Hi Fabian,

We are profiling devices using DHCP fingerprints. Depending on client-mac-connection parameter and device type from endpoint repository we force change on VLAN by enforcement policy on Clearpass.

Thanks for your feedback about update of the profile/fingerprint information. We didn't know this and you took away doubts.

    Thank you
