    Hi @ all,

     

    we have a costumer with a big even hall (about 40 000 guests), he wants clearpass for the wifi guest authentication. 

    The questions is what is the maximum number of concurrent guest sessions on one clearpass server?

    What´s about a cppm cluster?

    It's all based on number of devices. A cluster of two CP-5Ks, for example, can support 10,000 device authentications when requests are load balanced across the cluster.

     

    We also have High Capacity Guest mode that will double that number for use in guest environments where EAP-based authentication is not required (with the exception of EAP-PEAP-Public).

    ok, cann a 25k clearpass manage 25000 concurrent guest sessions?

    in high capacity guest mode 50k?

     

    I think the problem is in this event center, when there is an even and there is a break between the event everyone connect to the wifi, can clearpass handle this?

    Yes, they're QA tested for appliance size.

    I´m I right?

    The 25k clearpass can authenticate 25k guests at the same time?

    ~250 authentications per second. Most of the limitations lie at the
    controller doing the redirect.
