    Dear Experts,

Working with a university customer and they have asked for below.

    1. 2 Major programs are being offered by university - MBA and BBA
    2. When BBA student connects to SSID, he should be redirected to captive portal displaying the schedule of classes for this semester
      1. Can we be specific as to showing him the schedule of that particular day?

We can have multiple captive portals based on student roles and different enforcement profile. But any idea how we can achieve point # 2? is there a possibility with API integration to change the captive portal content (class information) on daily basis?

Not sure this can be achieved without requesting information from the user.

It might be easier to just create a drop-down box on a captive portal page that allows the use to select MBA/BBA. Based on the drop-down box depends what content is shown.

You could do this simply with ClearPass Guest.

Alternatively, you would need to get the user to login to customise the experience.

User will be authenticated via their ad credentials.

Not sure about drop down. How to display content based on drop down value

OK so if this is post authentication, you could create a new webpage with links to both the MBA and BBA items. This could be uploaded to ClearPass via the content manager or hosted somewhere else.

Then make this web page the default page for all authenticated users (in the web login configuration).

This does mean that both sets of users can see both sets of information. If this is not desired you may need to be cleverer.

Sounds like a very poor user experience.

    Dear Tim,

To achieve the same or similar result, can you suggest any other idea.

Putting users into a captive portal every time they connect is a poor user experience. You should really be using 802.1X authentication.

I would recommend that you educate the customer on how poor of a user experience this would be.
