Just wondering

The minimum requirement for this is that it support radius?

If the 3rd party wifi equipment does not support radius then it cannot be integrated with clearpass guest?

Or its possible to do something like the nomadix in which you dont need anything as requirement as it acts as a internet access gateway in which you dont need any configuration in the WIFI side.

At a bare minimum, the device needs to support RADIUS. I'd be shocked if
there were wireless solutions that don't support it. Even most consumer gear
supports RADIUS authentication.



Depending on the solution, it should also support RADIUS Change of
Authorization.

Well you can be shocked becase this thing doesnt support radius...

The thing is that its a  intelligent multiservice gateway of allied telesys ( IMG)

The thing is that it does many thing and it has Wifi incorporated... is not really a WLAN solution or something like that... its like something else that HAS wifi.

For example its like a ADSL that has a wifi antenna but that is not a wireless solution. i dont see if you get my point?

 

i was looking onthe config but i didnt see any radius tab... also i downloaded the manual, and i did search for radius and i got no result....

In those cases you can put an arubu contoller inline to act as a wired concentrator like a Nomadix box. I've done it at a few customers where some of the old equipment wouldn't support captive ports redirect. 

I though in that, but they would need to buy a 7210 controller at least for it

They wanted it to work with their wifi solution alone

We will need to explain them that the only solution would be with a controller.

How many users does the system support? You could likely get away with a
smaller controller to handle this functionality.
