    Hi!

I'm setting up a clearpass AWS instance for lab and evaluation mainly. Does any one know if I can deploy a instance with lower specs and it will still work ?

    https://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ClearPass/TechNotes/ClearPass_Policy_Manager_AWS/index.htm#AboutRelease/Overview_Intro.htm%3FTocPath%3D_____1

This specifies: For C1000V, select m4.large. The recommended AWS instance size is 2CPU and 8GB RAM

    1TB disk minimum.

A bit pricy to just do labs on. I've deployd lower spec servers in vmware before. But I tried 120GB disk and i booted but web would not load.

Any idea what would be a good minum spec deployment?

if this is just for lab testing/eval of ClearPass, i would recomend just insatlling it on a local server, or even on a laptop running under VMWAre Desktop.

It's specificly for evaluating the usecase for running clearpass in AWS. I've already got local installations :)

There is no functional difference between running ClearPass in AWS vs running in ESXi, Hyper-V or KVM.

There is no lab size for AWS.

    Hi Tim!

Maybe Iḿ doing something wrong but running morph-vm makes the server unusable if the second disk is smaller then 1TB. Not running morph-vm makes the second disk not used. The disk1 the server ships with is to small for use, fills up when trying to patch the server.

EDIT: ah , you did meen that labvm setup is not supported in the same way in AWS as local ? So 1000 is the smallest supported size ?

Correct. There is no lab size for EC2.

Thanks Tim, do you know if there is any plans to support this ? I like the portability of running it in AWS for demo and lab.

No, there are no plans as it is not functionally any different than existing hypervisors.
