    Hi guys,

     

    I currently have a specific need for a project and i'd like to have you guys input to know if it is feasible and if i'm on the right track.

     

    The need is to be able to change enpoints attributes via a web page

     

    I was thinking of an API. First you would enter the endpoint's MAC address, then it would search the db and you could add an attribute to it.

    does this make any sense ?

    There is a built in device registration portal.

    As far as I know, you can't search for existing enpoints and edit them to add attributes to it ?

    Yes you can modify existing devices from that.

    Inside CPG, go to Manage Devices. You'll see a list of all registered devices. When you click one, you'll see an edit option which will allow you to change values.

    oh, my need is to edit endpoints ( the endpoints from TIPS / Configuration / Identity / Endpoints ) not the manually registered devices.

    Keep in mind that the endpoints repository is designed really as an internal datastore. The Guest Device Repository is designed for external changes through the device portal.
