Comware 5 with CPPM captive portal

    Gurus,

     

    Switch: HP 5500 (comware 5)

     

    i'm able to do 802.1x and mac auth but seems to fail at captive portal redirection to register user that fail 802.1x and in such away able to onboard their device

     

    is it because comware 5 doesnt support coa that cause im unable to redirect?

     

    what is the correct config on switch and clearpass side. is it need to do URL av pair?

    Comware 5 does not support external captive portal redirection.

    if that the case..

     

    the only demo i can show to the user is typical 802.1x and mac auth then..

     

    but not sure profillng will work or not..due to coa is not there...

    Comware 5 has a very limited featureset.

    can we do mac auth..and profile device at the same time? without having reconnecting the device...?

    TIM, is there the possibility of using the internal captive portal of Comware 5 and perform the user validation in the ClearPass?

    We have not done any validation with the legacy v5 platform. I don't believe any external captive portal redirect is supported.
