Hi All,
I need some help with a dual SSID onboarding issue one of my clients are experiencing.
They have a guest SSID that they are onboarding clients on and then when they have on boarded they are connected to the actual SSID. This works just fine.
The onboarding is used for Staff and Student devices.
The problem they are experiencing is that when a student goes through the onboarding for the first time, they usually do not know what to do.
When they are on-boarding for the first time they are going through the onboarding process and do not end up completing it.
When they have not completed the onboarding process, they generally leave the device connected to the SSID until automatically disconnects.
When they then try and connect to the Guest SSID, they connect fine, but it then fails to load the captive portal page and on the device it states “Connected, no internet” they are in the logon role when they are experiencing this problem
To get the device to display the captive portal page, we have to disconnect the user from the IAP VC, remove the endpoint and then forget the network.
We are then able to display the CP page.
Just wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this problem and why the CP does not display when you do not complete the onboarding process?
We have the following equipment deployed:
C2000-HW *2 – configured as publisher and subscriber
CPPM Version: 6.8.1
IAP-515
Version: 8.5.0.1
Please help with this problem
Thanks,
