Im seeing this in the logs when guest users are trying to MAC authenticate:

 

It says unknow client, but when checking endpoint repository, I see this:

 

This is found when searching the repo with the MAC address of the client. 

 

I have just changed CP install from a old Dell branded CP, to orgininal Aruba CP. This error was also present on the old unit.

 

Can anyone help me with this.

You should be using [Allow All MAC Auth] as the auth method.

I have tried out this method, alot of requests go through, some dont. 

Why does MAC-AUTH say the klient is unknown, when its know ?

 

The MAC-AUTH setting follow the guest template on  6.7.3.106273,

Your endpoint in the endpointdatabase must have a “known device” status to use mac-auth.

That is not correct. Allow All MAC Auth should be used and handle everything in authorization. Known/Unknown is not required.

One of my local contacts in norway tells me that they use only MAC-AUTH since this is the template default.

It also doenst explain to me why the MAC-AUTH fail on know devices with valid attributes.

Use Allow All MAC Auth.
