How to get sponsor approval to work if...?

Hi Forum,

I'm sure it has been asked before, but here you go one more time:

what happens if the sponsor gets an approval request but the sponsor is somewhere not able to reach clearpass, say at a conference somewhere? I hope I'm making sense.

Then the user will not be approved. Generally speaking, if you're visiting someone, that's the person you would ask to sponsor someone.

Some companies point sponsor confirmations to distribution lists.

You could always make Clearpass available externally. As long as you apply the appropriate security around elements of Clearpass (tie down Policy Manager and other elements to specific subnets and add network allow lists on all your web logins) and ensure the sponsor has to log in before approving an account.

I've done this before so people could approve requests on mobile phones when not in the office.
