Mac filtering external nps

We have configured  some 515 AP's using the virtual controller.

We have some devices that connect direct to azure ad that we have a rule if user is in "ad group" and calling id is "mac wildcard" so users can join the wireless but not connect their mobile devices, this is working on our previous configured wireless, devices just don't connect to the Aruba AP's.

I have configured external radius and its working for all AD joined devices but not for any that are not.
If I remove the "mac wildcard" option in nps the devices connect to Aruba no problems.
Is there a setting somewhere that I am missing for Aruba?

Re: Mac filtering external nps

Well, self resolved.

Enable MAC on the setting "Service-Type Framed-User" in Authentication Server Setup

Enable Perform MAC authentication before 802.1X setting the delimiter character as "-" (same used in nps).
