    Hi

     

    I have noticed that the download speed of firmware and patches are much slower if I click the Download button under Administration\Agents and Software Updates\Software Updates compared to the time taken to download the file from the support site and click Import updates and upload the file.

     

    In a case today download of a specific file (ClearPass Cumulative Patch 10) took 41 minutes by clicking the Download button, 1, Yes ONE! minute, to upload a locally stored file, the download from the Internet to my computer took a few minutes.

    Can anyone explain the big difference when ClearPass download the software package compared to when a workstation does the same thing?
    In both situation the traffic pass the same firewalls and internet connections.
