I had an interesting question come up this morning. A customer of mine was curious if it's possible for a Sponsor to select the expiration date in Clearpass Guest?

 

It would be a cool if there was a way to add a drop down menu on the receipt page where a Sponsor can "Accept" or "Reject" a Guest connection.

I believe there is a feature request open for that but until then you could create a Role that would put the user into a captive portal saying they were denied.

Thanks for responding! Do you think it would be possible to create something like this:

 

1. The Account Roles could have the following:

     - Role Name: 1hour

     - Role Name: 1day

     - Role Name: 1week

 

Those roles, 1hour, 1day, 1week, would then correspond to an expiration date?

Yes. That is what is created but the guest service template. Then you just need to enable the drop down so the sponsor can select
