blocking whatsapp

    we have clearpass and aruba controller,

    we are trying to block whatsapp application ,

     

    the issue is, its blocked from android devices, but iphone users still be able to access to whatsapp,

     

    do i need to cnfigure specific configuration for iphones?

    How are you trying to block it? 

    Do you have 7 series controllers?

    Create a netdestinetion for whatsapp.

    name: *.whatsapp.com

    name: *.whatsapp.net

     

    go to access list and create one acl to block all the traffic.

    any alias <your whtapp alias> deny

    then make the role on top.

    Hi,

    i created another acl also that checking for application for whatsapp,

     

    its working good with android device ,its blocking whatsapp from android device, but its doesnt work with iphone 6 and 6 plus :S

    Why do you need to block Whatsapp? Try to replace it with another Whatsapp version like Whatsapp gb, Yowhatsapp, ...
