    Hi friends,

I have some doubts about Clearpass evaluation license...

    - Are all the features available?

    - How many users/devices can an evaluation license manage? Does it depend on the machine resources?

    - How long is a Clearpass evaluation license available since installation?

    Thanks in advance.

I think you are confused tarnold..

Clearpass Eval is 500 base license with 500 enterprise licenses (valid for guest, onboard & onguard). both valid for 90 days.

So you can have up to 500 unique authenticating devices per day using any of the modules.

    Hi

I downloaded an eval activation key for clearpass 6.7, but to configure the thing for dot1x and MAC authentication, the thing asks for an access license, can someone tell me what is eval activation key used for if i can't configure the thing for authentication? And while your at it, please do tell me where can I get an eval access license? Because it appears to me that the thing is pretty much useless if I can't eval some basic authentication.

    Thanks,

This topic was about the old licensing scheme.

Currently Clearpass 6.7 uses the 'clearpass NL' licensing scheme.

There are now also different places you can get your evals so I'm not sure where you got yours, but you do need at least 2 different licenses to get it working.

    You need

    1) the base license, which you apparantely have, and

    2) additional licenses for the respective features:

    a) clearpass NL AC -> .1x + guest

    b) clearpass NL OB -> onboard

    c) clearpass NL OG -> onguard

    Hello Koen,

    Thanks for the response..

I got the base license and the VM from the link below:

    https://h10145.www1.hpe.com/license/GenerateLicense.aspx

I heard that anyone can get an eval license from the link above but that's not enough for the actual evaluation it seems.

My quick fix for licensing issues has always been to bug the Aruba representative for my area. They Yours should also be able to quickly generate one for you.

    Hello,

The NAS IP address sent in the radius request is flipped at Clearpass server, say my NAS IP is 1.2.3.4 then on the clearpass i'm seeing the following error, unknown client 4.3.2.1. I confirmed with tcpdum that the nas ip is 1.2.3.4 but somehow clearpass is changing the order.

Any idea how I can fix this?

    Thanks
    Ali

    Hi!
Sorry, but I feel completely lost.
I have registered for Aruba ClearPass trial.
But I cannot see any link to download the file for ESXi.
Could yo please guide me? I called Aruba Support at Spain and they said they cannot help me.

    Thanks.
