delay in displaying captive portal page

    Hi Everyone,

     

    i am facing one issue in displaying captive portal page. In some PCs after typing the URL in the browser it is taking about 10 seconds to display the captive portal page. whereas in mobile phones (Android) and also in some devices it is taking only about 3 to 4 seconds to display the captive portal page.

     

    Can anyone tell me why this variation?

    Do you by chance have a background image loaded on that captive portal page?  If so, is it a BMP format?   If it is, try with a JPG file.  I have seen captive portals with BMP background images take up to 10 seconds to load, but only 1 or 2 with a JPG.  Not sure why it would vary for the other devices though.
