pre-authentication function

    Hi all

    I want to know whether Aruba 6.1release support pre-authentication function or not?

    If I take WiFi packet capture then in beacon frame I can see it is displaying as transmitter will not support pre authentication.if it supports then what authentication or encryption method should I use so that I can use pre authentication in 6.1 version?

    When we see in beacon frame under RSN capabilities it is showing transmitter will not support pre authentication.

    Pre authentication is user can authenticate to other APs prior to the roaming through the currently associated AP.

    Please correct me if I am wrong.

    What is the use case for pre-authentication?  How important is it?

    No , currently we dont support this.

    This functionality use to be supported in earlier AOS releases 3.x, but not now.
