    (clearpass)

So we're using the unique-device-count from endpoint repository to keep users from registering too many devices with a guest network. Now we're getting reports of a user failing because he has used up his allowed number of devices.

So, how can I check what mac-addresses this user has used?

And how do I liberate one or more of those mac-addresses?

Search the username in the endpoint repository and then delete the entry you want to remove.

Thank you, but how do I search for a username in the endpoint repository?

I'm not currently saving the usernames with each endpoint so even if I could search here, I'm not sure this would be very helpfull right now.

Surely that is not the only/best way?

Did you use the guest service template? It should be writing the guest username to the endpoint database.

You could search in the guest UI for the username as well.

Not sure at this time.. but even if I did, the only way to search that endpoint repository for usernames appears to be a manual search after exporting all the records.. surely there's a bit more streamlined process to do this?

And where in the guest ui can I search for usernames and get all the different mac-addresses associated with that username then? I'm looking but I can't find any such search?

    Sorry, only the endpoint repository.

Thanks. Never noticed you could search any attribute there.

This is pretty much what I was looking for.
