Although Aruba SD-WAN gateways have ZTP port on all ports except 0/0/1 as per https://help.central.arubanetworks.com/latest/documentation/online_help/content/sd_wan/provision_gateways/bring_up_gws.htm , most SD-WAN gateways are shipped with wireless controller firmware. For wireless controller, the ZTP port in on the last copper port of the controller. Hence it is important to note that we need to connect to the last copper port initially for the gateway to reach Activate & Central, followed by downloading SD-WAN firmware. Once the download is completed and while rebooting, we can connect the cable to any other ZTP port as per the SD-WAN firmware specification.
Connect a console cable to the gateway console and watch the ZTP process:

Note that as of the date of this article is written, the ZTP process works only on controller installed 6.5.1.4 & above but not 8.x.x.x wireless firmware. For controller not installed with 6.5.1.4 & above or installed with 8.x.x.x wireless firmware, it's probably quicker to install SD-WAN firmware directly (and if required, factory default it) and then let ZTP process to take over.
