Hi guys,
I have a customer who has a 105 RAP in a remote location which is connected to a DSL modem through PoE injector. The RAP is configured as split tunnel. The customer uses android tablet connected wirelessly to the RAP and VNC server APP is installed on the tablet, he wants to be able to access the tablet from outside via VNC client installed on a PC using a domain name of the remote location not the external IP and TCP port and to forward the traffic to internal device based on the device MAC address.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
maybe you can bind the mac-address of the device with an IP address.
Then, using DNS server to translate the device name to the ip address binded with the device.
BTW, it is better to post this topic in the AOS and mobility controller fourm.
It is not possible to do a Static NAT to a tablet from "outside" using a RAP, because a RAP does not allow connections inbounds from public addresses.
Does this mean, it is not possible to do any port forwarding with RAP for incoming traffic? Like in general how to write a port forwarding rule?
Correct. it is not possible on a RAP.
Thanks.
