Hello. I want to stack two 3810 switches for redundancy. The downlink used for the switch is mostly 10G. As far as I know, the recommended link for stack if the downlink mostly 10G is 40G. The 3810 doesn't have a 40G port, can I use 4 10G SFP+ for that stack link?

Sorry for the noob-ish question and thank you

    Hi,

3810 does not support VSF. You need a stacking module.

Yep, for a two members Stack you need two Stacking Modules and four Stacking Cables:

    Aruba SKUs:

    • Aruba 3810M 4-port Stacking Module (JL084A)
    • Aruba 3800 0.5m Stacking Cable (J9578A)
    • Aruba 3800 1m Stacking Cable (J9665A)
    • Aruba 3800 3m Stacking Cable (J9579A)

I suggest you to familiarize with this document first.
