    Hi guys,

I need to know the use of the MAC sec module on 3810 switch series. Is it used for stacking, uplink or just simply SFP+ connection

The 3810M require stacking link modules with stacking cables. The macsec module are simple sfp+ connections with macsec capability.

Just to double-check a piece of information,

Is it ok to have an uplink between Macsec module (let s say 3810M -4SFP+ mac sec to a normal module (i.e:5406- 8p 1G/10GbE SFP+ v3)

Another question, how the Macsec works? if we have 2 connected macsec module they will auto-negotiate L2 data encryption?
