    Hi Community

    We have a 5406R zl2 (J9580A) with a QSFP+SR4 (JH231A) GBIC insered on a 2p 40GbE QSFP+ Modul (J9996A). We would like to split this ports in 4x 10GbE.

In the CLI I found no option to split this ports. I tried with using-Command without success.

On google I found no other option to split this port.

My question is, is it possible to split this ports with my configuration?

    Thanks for helping.

    Hi parnassus

I found that post as well. And thanks for clarify.

Do you know is there some plans to support that feature in the future?

Good question, I think only Aruba PM could provide you an answer...I really don't know...my take is that, giving the Aruba 5400R zl2 Switch series positioning within the present Aruba Switch portfolio (it was and it is positioned as a Core/Distribution-aggregation Switch...nor as a ToR or a EoR Switch like some well known HPE FlexFabric ones), QSFP+ interfaces are intended to be used mainly - my opinion - for VSF links or as Uplinks (single or aggregated, in both cases) to an higher-end Campus Core switch series such as Aruba 83xx/8400X...so your requirement (your actual need/desire) to support QSFP+ breakout (from the software and hardware standpoint) on the Aruba 5400R zl2 Switch series would probably considered by Aruba not high-priority...but this is just my take (I hope to be wrong!).
