    Hey guys,

     

    I need some help with "harden my password"

    I tried to do some commands, and its always want me to change the password.

     

    Maybe i'm doing something wrong.

    Photos of the screen are hard to read, but I think there is a message that the minimum password length is not reached.

     

    Does your old password meet the configured password complexity requirements?

    Did you enter a new password that conforms to the requirements?

     

    It looks to me (but never used the feature) that the switch determines that your current password does not meet the requirements, and requiring you to change it for that reason. Sounds like a good plan to me in itself.

     

    This is a not so much used feature, as many people run the switch authentication to an external RADIUS/TACACS+ server and make sure that password requirements are enforced there, including password change policies and two-factor.
