Hi!
That's because ArubaOS-CX 10.04.1000, 10.04.2000 and very recent 10.04.3000 releases form a sort of "separate branch" [*] of the 10.04 spine, and it originated from ArubaOS-CX 10.04.0040 release, thus it diverges from 10.04.0041 which was the next direct software release derived from 10.04.0040.
I'm not sure exactly why all that was necessary but it seems to me that there are relationships with added support for new hardware (think about SFP56 or to 100G)
As of today (13rd June 2020) you have two choices for your Aruba 6300M Switch series:
- go with ArubaOS-CX 10.04.0041
- go with ArubaOS-CX 10.04.3000
[*] I called it a "separate branch" because it's what I see from RN; as you, I've no other valuable info about it. Being a "separate branch", release dates of 10.04.x000 versions are not necessarily related to the release date of 10.04.0041 version..that can explain your confusion.
