When I connect Cisco AIR-CAP2702 Access Points to Aruba 2930F switches, 9 times out of 10 they come up with "Medium Power (15.4W)". Rarely they manage full power.
Things I have tried:
- Activate ”Pre-standard 802.3af switches” on APs
- Activate ”power-over-ethernet pre-std-detect” on switches
- Configure ”power-over-ethernet critical” on switches' interfaces towards AP’s
- Deactivate LLDP on switches' interfaces towards AP’s
None of it made any difference.
Have anybody experienced (and solved) anything similar?

Could you provide the output of 'show power-over-ethernet' and 'show power-over-ethernet <port>' so we can see how the switch is allocating power to the port, and the available power budget?
Also, if there are any log entries being generated when an AP is connected, a sanitized version of those may also be useful.

On the switchport connected to the AP, you need this configuration:
It will come up as low power, transition to medium power and finally settle on full power.
