Re: Client Match makes user briefly disconnect

For the moment I have raised the 5ghz Max to 18, without changing the 2,4 values.

5:

Max: 18

Min: 12

2,4

Max: 9

Min: 6

with this the 5ghz will broadcast a bit stronger as before, and the client might stay on that band.

Let me monitor the situation.

but when checking the options in the VAP, I noticed that the Band-steering functionality was not enabled:

Aruba is also saying not to combine Client Match with Band-steering:

any advice on this?

Re: Client Match makes user briefly disconnect

When ClientMatch is enabled, the band-steering settings are ignored.  ClientMatch is enabled by default so the Virtual AP bandsteering setting is ignored.

There is nothing wrong with a client being band-steered successfully in principle.
