Do two stacked 2930M pass VLANS without connecting them from the front side?

    Hi Guys,

I have 2 x 2930M switches which should be redundant; the 4 SFP ports of each switch are fully used for uplinks to edge switches

In case we used a stacking module, should I have to connect both switches with the copper prorts and do trunking again for the VLANS to pass between the 2 switches or is there any protocol that will enable this without reconnecting the switches?

if you use the backplane stacking modules with stacking cables you will not need to connect them via copper ports.

...and you will not need to do trunking for VLANs to pass between the 2 switches...that's exactly because your two Aruba 2930M switches once backplane stacked will become one single logical entity.
