    The transceiver question is typically on them mind during every deployment.  Below is the link to our current combined ArubaOS-Switch and ArubaOS-CX Supported Transceiver Guide and I have attached important information about the use of 3rd party transceivers.

    HPE FlexNetwork Transceivers are not supported, but from CX 10.5 release we support allow-third party transceivers.

     

    AOS-CX(config)# allow-unsupported-transceiver

      confirm       Automatically acknowledge warning and skip confirmation prompt

      log-interval  Configure unsupported transceiver logging

      <cr>

    AOS-CX(config)# allow-unsupported-transceiver confirm

    AOS-CX(config)# allow-unsupported-transceiver log-interval

      <1440-10080>  The logging interval (Default: 1440 minutes)

      none          Disable unsupported transceiver logging

     

    AOS-CX# sh int 1/1/24 transceiver detail

    I can't find that in the release notes, is that only for 6300/6400 or also on the 8400?

    Yes, it is.

     

    Currently (28 August 2020) ArubaOS-CX 10.05.0010 superseded the ArubaOS-CX 10.05.0001. So go with the latest if possible.
