How To Properly Set Console Baud Rates For AOS-Switch Versus AOS-CX



A:

AOS-Switch

Switches running AOS-Switch Code will output boot messages at 9600 baud only

After boot up, the switch console port will then speed sense up to 115200 baud

 

AOS-CX

For switches running AOS-CX code, the baud rate is fixed at 115200.

NOTE:

Using an incorrect baud rate setting and/or a non-HPE cable can result in

  • Blank Screen During Boot Up
  • No Response When Hitting CR
  • Characters And Other Garbled Output
