How to put in default mode an interface

    Hi All,

     

    I would like to know how to put in default mode an interface, like cisco got the "default" command, which command in AOS put an interface in default mode, it exist this command?

    Like @alagoutte mentions, this is not possible.

     

    You have to "no" all commands. If a command isn't deleted via the "no" version of the command, it means you have to enter the default value to remove the command from the configuration.

     

    Example:

    To remove the command "aaa port-access authenticator 1/1 tx-period 10" you have to configure the default value of the command, which is 30

     

    aaa port-access authenticator 1/1 tx-period 30

    Hi,

    Yeah, you have to undo most of the config.

    If it was comware, there is an default command since most interface config is done at the interface.

    For Aruba OS switch, some interface config is done at vlan level, hence why this don't seem possible.

    However, when I need to undo commands, getting the right show commands is always a problem. I normally use 'show config int n', but there are others you can explore. Please see the link below for some other suggestions.

    Hello enlusa,

     

    First of all there is no single command like to make the interface to its default settings.

     

    You need to go to the interface configuration mode and then

    1. Undo the configuration by putting "no"  in front of present command

    2. There are some POE Configuration which will not be removed by no "command" and you need to set the default value to make it removed.

     

    If you share the configuration, I can help you to configure the interface as default.
