    Hi,

I have 2 core switches (5400) which is connected with a DAC. Further i have 2 Edge switches (3810) which is connected via stacking module.

If i take 2 (1G) port configure in LACP from 3810, can i terminate on 2 different core switches 5400.

    Hello,

There are two techologies in the ArubaOS-Switch products that enable this.  DIstributed Trunking and VSF. Since, it looks like you're using 5400 and not 5400R with v3 zl2 modules, Distributed Trunking will be your go to technology.  You'll create a switch interconnect link on between the two 5400s, and now the interfaces going to the stack of 3810M's can be part of the dt-lacp trunk.

Distributed Trunking is documented on page 162 of the below manual:

    Cheers,

    -Scott

    No. I am using 5400R zl2 (v3 Module).

In that case, VSF is an option as well.  VSF enables the two 5400R chassis to operate like a single switch.  (Kinda like stacking on 3810M)

If you proceed with VSF, the LACP trunk conection between the two member 5400R VSF and the 3810M stack will simply be a lacp trunk link with two member ports on the 5400R VSF and 3810M stack.

    trunk 1/A1,2/A1 trk1 lacp

VSF is documented on Chapter 22 (page 530) of the same manual. Linked below again:

    Cheers,
