Mobility Access Switches - best practice for power shutdown

What's the recommended procedure for handling a planned power outage with regard to shutting down Aruba switches (we have S2500s and S3500s)? The power outage is scheduled to be a day-long operation, so relying on UPS battery back-up isn't a factor. I'm guessing just a configuration save and back-up is about all that can be done - correct?

    Thanks for any information!

Yes, I would do a "write mem" and then issue a "halt". This will gracefully shutdown the switches.

    Best regards,

Thanks, Madani. So to re-start the switch would you just disconnect and then re-connect the A/C power?

Yup. Halt will shut them down (little RED shutdown LED will illuminate) and then to power them back up, you need to remove/add the power cable.
