Protocol for Ring Network

There are HPE FF 5940 switches used in the Ring Network.  Attached the logical diagram.  Wondering which would be the best protocol to configure for this network.  RRPP?

Re: Protocol for Ring Network

5940s support Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS).

Re: Protocol for Ring Network

it all depends on what you are trying to achieve, as such there is no recommendation. ERPS is an ITU standard and hence if you need interoperability, then that would be my choice.

Re: Protocol for Ring Network

Thanks for the info Ariyap.

By the way, is ERPS more recommended comparing to RRPP or other protocols?
