Question: How to Renumber a member’s slot number in Mobility Access SwitchEnvironment: Multiple Switch in a Stacking and want to renumber or order the switch according to the Physical deployment. If we have multiple Switch in a Stacking, the member ID allocation is based on the Algorithms or election process. Sometimes the Member ID for the switch will not get matched with the Physical access of the Switch. So in order to Match the Member ID with the Switch Physical Access/deployment, we can change or renumber the Members's slot number in Stacking.Renumber a member’s slot number to a new slot number. Execute this command from the Primary.set stacking renumber <id> <new-id>(Switch) #set stacking renumber ?<old-id> Old Member ID (0-7)(Switch) #set stacking renumber 1 ?<new-id> New Member ID (0-7)#show stacking membersStack status: Active, Stack Id: 001a1e090a8053ce7626Stack uptime: 29 secondsId Role MAC Address Priority State Model Serial-- ---- ----------- -------- ----- ----- ------1 Secondary 00:1a:1e:09:92:00 128 Active ArubaS2500-48P BL00010390 * Primary 00:1a:1e:09:0a:80 128 Active ArubaS2500-24P BJ0001240#set stacking renumber 1 2#show stacking membersStack status: Active, Stack Id: 001a1e090a8053ce7626Stack uptime: 29 secondsId Role MAC Address Priority State Model Serial-- ---- ----------- -------- ----- ----- ------2 Secondary 00:1a:1e:09:92:00 128 Active ArubaS2500-48P BL00010390 * Primary 00:1a:1e:09:0a:80 128 Active ArubaS2500-24P BJ0001240Note: Please be careful before changing the Member ID 0.
